Dilettantes of Ur, a digital collage of nineteenth-century figures against banknote and textile pattern

Dilettantes of Ur

Here, the metrics of civilization collide with the absolute Power of Being. Displaced from their nineteenth-century environments, these figures are bound directly to the architecture of transaction. An early American tender note textures their garments, while the sky above fractures into ancient Sumerian silver note patterns. Yet, held in unyielding stillness, their autonomous gaze stages a quiet rebellion. They refuse to be calculated, evaluated, or priced. Before humanity can be measured, it simply is.

Eugene's Time Passages, a digital collage portrait with textile and ornamental pattern

Eugene’s Time Passages

2026 · Digital collage · SWISSARTEXPO 2026, Züerich

Eugene embodies the metaphorical masculine, charting a path alongside the obscured divine feminine. They travel with shared baggage—an ornate tapestry woven from nuance, elation, and trauma. Haughty yet pensive, they wait for the present to carve out the future. For them, time is a cravat: tight, anticipatory, and binding.

In a dominion run by coinage, the banker and the courtesan share a singular vernacular. Operating through a dance called exchange, they extract their fiat off the backs of men. From boardroom to bedroom, time dissolves. Wearing masks for approval and status, they pray at the feet of the Medici.
